Our Team
Ekka
Pure Eddo-ko (Tokyo native), was shipped to the US for education, holds information management degree.
After working at big tech companies like Oracle and Google, Ekka realized there’s more to life than climbing the corporate ladder.
She packed up, moved to Whistler, Canada, and spent a few unforgettable years living the snow life.
While in Canada, she worked for a property management company — and that’s where it all started. She loved connecting with people, understanding what makes guests feel at home and what gives owners peace of mind. The challenge of balancing both sides (and the satisfaction when everything went smoothly) became addictive.
Back in Tokyo, she returned to IT field to save up for her next chapter — building her own business in the mountains, where she could combine her tech background with the omotenashi spirit she grew up with.
For Ekka, hospitality isn’t just about providing a place to stay — it’s about creating moments of comfort, small surprises, and genuine care that make people feel truly welcome.

Sakura
After many years working for Customs at the Port of Yokohama, Sakura magically landed in Myoko — and quickly became one of our most essential team members.
From flipping burger patties to working as a semi-pro nail tech, from bookkeeping to building and repairs — Sakura wears more hats than anyone in Myoko. Whether she’s organizing cleaning schedules, coordinating repairs, or greeting guests with her signature smile, she makes sure every property runs smoothly.
A big fan of anime, manga, and her adorable dog Lulu (our unofficial mascot), Sakura brings fun, and genuine care to everything she does.
She anticipates what guests and owners need before they even ask, and always adds those thoughtful little touches that make people feel right at home.

John
John spent over 30 years leading projects across military and civilian sectors — including time as a Chief Information Officer in the U.S. Navy. From large-scale operations to fine-tuned teamwork, he’s learned that true success comes from precision, integrity, and care.
With a Master’s in Technology Management and a Bachelor’s in Anthropology, he bridges the technical and the human — understanding not just how systems work, but how people live and interact with them.
He also spent over a decade studying under a Master Carpenter, learning the art of maintaining and restoring wooden homes. His deep knowledge of the local mountain environment — from snow and moisture to the occasional curious wildlife — helps keep every property in its best shape.
At Peak Season, he brings an omotenashi-inspired mindset to maintenance: thoughtful, proactive, and always one step ahead — ensuring every home feels safe, comfortable, and cared for.
